Rockingham Castle
Rockingham Castle is a former royal castle and hunting lodge in Rockingham Forest approximately three miles south of Lyddington. Henry VIII granted the Castle to Edward Watson, ancestor of the present owner James Saunders Watson, who converted the medieval fortress into a comfortable Tudor house. The Saunders-Watson family have lived here for 450 years, check for visiting hours. lots of history and lovely gardens.
